Retirement Planners

Easily view, edit, search, sort and filter retirement planners for your clients from the SMART Insure™ retirement planners page.

Click on the Clients name to view their retirement planner.


Adding A Retirement Planner:

  1. Click Add Retirement Planner from the top menu or click Add New from the Retirement Planner page.
  2. Select a client or add a new client.
  3. Click Start.

Details:

  1. Enter your client’s age, current interest rate, current tax rate, and retirement age.
  2. Select the interest calculation frequency (annually, monthly, weekly).

Assets & Liabilities:

 

Enter the total of your present assets in the entry box or click Assets or the down arrow button beside the totals entry box to display the breakdown list to enter your figures for any of the the following items:

  • Life Policies: The total coverage that would be paid out on your client’s death or disablement.
  • Superannuation: The total amount payable on your client’s death or disablement.
  • Shares: The total capital available if your client cashed in their shares.
  • Cash / Savings: Any cash or savings your client might have.
  • Investments: Any other forms of investment your client may have.
  • Property: The total amount your client owns in property.
  • Other Assets: Any other assets excluding your client’s home that might produce capital to invest.

The totals will automatically display for you.

To clear all entries in the breakdown, click Clear.

Enter the total of your liabilities in the entry box or click Liabilities or the down arrow button beside the totals entry box to display the breakdown list to enter your figures for any of the the following items:

  • Mortgage / Loans: Mortgages and loans not covered by automatically repaid mortgage insurance.
  • Hire Purchase: The amounts outstanding on any hire purchase finance or lease, etc.
  • Credit Cards: Outstanding amounts on your client’s credit cards.
  • Education Fund: The amount your client desires to provide to educate their children or for charitable purposes.
  • Home: An estimate for any repairs or maintenance costs required.
  • Car: An estimate for any vehicle or maintenance costs that may be required.
  • Other: Any other costs on your client’s death or disablement, eg., hospital, medical, travel, etc.

The totals will automatically display for you.

Click Clear to clear all entries in the breakdown.


Retirement Calculations:

 

Regular Income:

Enter the amount of regular income you would like to receive at retirement, then choose the frequency at which you wish to save for this. SMART Insure™ can then tell you how much you will need to invest to be able to produce this income after you retire.

 

Capital Sum:

Enter the amount of capital you wish to accumulate at the retirement age you have chosen. SMART Insure™ can then tell you how much surplus you will have, or how much you will need to invest at regular intervals in order to produce the capital sum that you require.

 

Regular Savings:

Enter the amount you wish to invest and the frequency at which you wish to save. SMART Insure™ can then tell you how this savings amount will accumulate over time and how much you will have at retirement to provide a regular income. You can also see how much income you would have yearly up until your life expectancy, as well as 5 years below, and 5 years above.


Actions:

 

In the right hand panel, you have the following actions:

  1. View Client Details – View the client’s profile page.
  2. Delete – Delete the Retirement Planner.
  3. Exit – Exit the page.
  4. Update – Save any changes made.
